Summer Secondary Chemistry Institute - Advanced Topics

Description: Institute offering chemistry content and laboratory experiments in kinetics, equilibrium, acids & bases, thermochemistry, and electrochemistry for high school chemistry teachers. The course will cover topics normally found in honors or AP level courses; however, teachers teaching in lower-level or regular chemistry classes will also benefit from the range of activities offered. The primary goal for the course will be it increase participantsÕ range of chemistry content and knowledge. Pedagogical issues in the teaching of chemistry will also be addressed.

Graduate credit: 2 semester hours can be arranged.
