Ask-a-Scientist Guided Tour of Fermilab |
| Audience: | Public, Teachers, Students, Grades 6 - Adult |
| Description: | Visitors interested in taking a look behind the scenes are welcome to join Fermilab docents for a guided tour of the Laboratory. The three-hour program will take visitors from the viewing area of Fermilab's Wilson Hall to the Linear Accelerator complex at Fermilab. Each session starts with a presentation by a scientist. Occasionally visitors will visit a site related to the talk. Fermilab scientists will answer additional questions on the 15th floor.
There is no charge for the tour, but advance registration is required. Children age 10 and older are welcome, but an adult must accompany them. If you take Interstate 88 to Farnsworth North, please note that the opening of the new outlet mall has led to increased congestion at that intersection. Please allow an extra 30 minutes to arrive at 1:00 pm. General directions to Fermilab Space is limited. To sign up, either register online from this page, send e-mail to the registrar (edreg@fnal.gov), or call 630 840-8258 Registration deadline is the Friday before the event, at noon. |
