Educator Workshop: Summer Secondary Chemistry Institute - Introductory Topics

Description: Institute offering chemistry content and laboratory experiments in matter, stoichiometry, atomic theory, bonding, gas laws, and thermochemistry for high school chemistry teachers. The course will cover topics normally found in introductory courses; however, teachers teaching in honor-level chemistry classes will also benefit from the range of activities offered. The primary goal for the course will be to increase participantsÕ range of chemistry content and knowledge. Pedagogical issues in the teaching of chemistry will also be addressed.
