This talk was presented as an invited paper to the session: Teacher Professional Development Programs Promoting Authentic Scientific Research in the Classroom. It was structured such that it gave the basic model of QuarkNet as well as examples of some of the successes the program has had in promoting the use of authentic scientific research in the classroom.
