Fermilab Summer Students - 2009

Research: I aided in the preparations leading to the commissioning of the Chicagoland Observatory for Underground Particle Physics Muon Veto Dark Matter detector consisting of a 66 kg bubble chamber placed inside a 6ton Cerenkov water chamber. I modified a Labview program to operate with new digital bases that were designed for the Photo Multiplier Tubes that would be used in the Cerenkov water chamber, and I measured the effect of the bubble chamber on detecting light in the Cerenkov waterchamber.
