Who I am: I am a mechanical engineering major and I am a Meyerhoff scholar. I like reading, drawing, and playing video games. My goal is to pursue a PhD in robotics.
Research: The LMQFXMA cold masses are quadrupole, superconducting magnets that are planned to be upgrades for the High Luminosity Large Hadron Collider. The magnet functions at 4.5 K to function properly, and must be cooled by liquid helium. This project mathematically models the flow rate and heat transfer of helium through the magnet to prevent thermal stressing and damage to the internal components.
