Research: I helped with the work needed to implement a precise timing distribution system that will be used in the 3 detectors that make up the Fermilab Short Baseline Detector Program. We were adapting the "White Rabbit" developed by CERN that was used for the ICARUS experiment. It is used for sub-nanosecond accuracy synchronization of time signals over a large geographic system. I performed a series of tests to evaluate the timing accuracy of our White Rabbit system electronics housed in the same room. Eventually similar tests will be done with the equipment kilometers apart.
