Who I am: Growing up, I lived in both Mississippi and Kenya (during the latter part of my childhood). From an early age, I have always been curious about how the universe works, which is what eventually got me into physics. When I'm not doing homework, I enjoy rock climbing, caving, and watching Star Trek.
Research: This research project was aimed at determining how much light is emitted in the near infrared when pure liquid argon scintillates. Though the project is not yet finished, we were able to obtain a very rough light yield by running a simple counting experiment. Future work will further refine our initial results.
