Who I am: I am a Master Graduate Student from University of Naples "Federico II". I studied Subnuclear and Detector Physics and I am very passionate about that since the beginning of my studies. My master thesis consists in Studies of performance of a new prototype of Particle Detector The experience here at Fermilab is very important for my studies. I am a future PhD student at IFAE in Barcelona.
Report: Mu2e straw tube characterization with strodium source, and study of preamplifier-straw connection
Research: In my work as Summer Student I characterized straw tube of Mu2e Tracker and study Time differences Resolution and the Energy Spectrum. I worked in Lab 3 to take data and I analyzed data from both Shaper and No Shaper channels. After that, I compared Time Difference Resolution with 90Sr source with data from 55Fe. In the second part of my internship, I worked to understand which is the best way to connect preamplifier to the straw. In order to do the best work I can, I also analyzed Crosstalk between neighbouring channels, and some different approach that could be used to reduce it.
