Who I am: I am Federico, currently master student at LMU and TUM in Munich where I am studying Theoretical Physics. I began my studying mathematics ending up in experimental particle physics.. a fun path! In my master thesis I am working on the development a new software devoted to the modeling of the tritium spectrum for keV sterile neutrino search with the KATRIN experiment. I love stand-up comedy and table tennis.
Research: Development and testing of the light detection system for the ICARUS experiment. In the first phase I modified the DAQ code in order to pack PMT events belonging to one TPC event into one TPC event. The second phase has been more concerned with the testing of the DAQ, studying its efficiency, its speed and its behavior under various parameter sets (width and frequency of the readout and acquisition windows, etc..)
