Who I am: Hello, everyone! My name is Paolo, I am 23 years old (2017) and I come from Biccari, a beautiful town in Southern Italy. I am an Energy Engineer from the Sant'Anna School of Advanced Studies in Pisa, Italy. I deal with thermodynamics, heat transfer, energy production and machine design. I like soccer, chess and travelling.
Research: The SSR1 cryomodule houses four superconducting magnet packages. Each of these packages consists of a solenoid coil and four coils which make horizontal and vertical correctors and a skew-quadrupole. Each magnet package is powered by a current lead assembly. Purpose of my work is to suggest improvements for the current lead assembly, in order to be sure that they will function once they will have been assembled in the cryomodule.
