Who I am: I'm a master student at University of Warsaw, majoring in experimental particle physics. I am working on a master project on japanese neutrino experiment T2K. Apart from physics, my hobbies are travelling, yoga and books. I applied to the program to try neutrino physics from different perspective: working on MicroBooNE experiment.
Research: My research is focused on selecting muon neutrino charged current interactions for studies of cross sections in argon. I am looking for optimization of selection requirements, including optical information from photomultiplier tubes and objects detected in time projection chamber. I analyzed two methods of using the optical information: flashes and hits (following idea of the MicroBooNE Deep Learning Group) and an alternative for current flash requirement.
